We often think of AI as the end of the line when it comes to computer intelligence.

But what if AI is just the beginning?

We would have a Brave New World of possibilities, ranging from cyborgs and transhumanism to quantum computers and superintelligent machines.

Or perhaps AI will evolve in ways we can’t even imagine. In this article, we’ll examine the various possibilities of a post-AI world and the implications these hold for human beings.

Let’s begin.

1. AGI

Thus, artificial general intelligence is the most exciting path ahead in this journey beyond AI. The AGI would then be something like a superb brain that would do every mental job that a human is capable of doing, whereas today’s AI systems are good at some tasks — things like playing chess or recognizing faces.

Imagine if we had succeeded in building machines that think and learn just like us. Isn’t that mind-blowing?

If we crack the code and develop AGI, it will really revolutionize the way we live and work.

Robots will no longer be limited to doing factory repetitive work, but they will write novels, diagnose diseases, or probably even invent new technologies.
